Ok this is all well and good that you are finding some uses for the (almost) unqualified crap in the mens department. But can you come up with any tips for the thrifty man out there that isn't interested in cross dressing?

In the larger thrifts, you are going to have to dig. I think it's best for men to go thrifting to those places with a long expanse of time - you're going to need it. Otherwise, singling out particular items can be a way to make it worth your while.

But I'd really suggest hitting smaller thrifts which are more manageable and choosier or a consignment shop that specializes in designer names.

I know Plato's Closet and Turn Style tend toward the teenaged Tommy Hilfiger crowd, but you will probably be better off there.
